Anne always has a varied stock of silk, velvet, and cotton robes and kaftans. The ikat silk chapans of Bukhara are now becoming scarce, and are considered to be a good investment: "wearable art", looking good on the wall, when not worn for a special occasion. The cotton and velvet coats from Turkmenistan often have exotic floral linings, and look great worn inside-out! These robes are all make by hand for family members, so vary enormously in size and shape, as well as condition, and need to be seen.
